The Kiwanis Club of Tallahassee Northside is a group of active volunteers dedicated to hands-on service in our community. We participate in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally. Our members share their time and talents to create great opportunities for service, fellowship, and personal growth.
Building the Kiwanis Family in Tallahassee
One of the most lasting ways we serve is by helping the Kiwanis family grow. In August 2025, our club was proud to sponsor the official charter of the new Kiwanis Club of Southside Tallahassee. We provided mentorship and support throughout their formation and presented the new club with a $750 grant from the Florida Kiwanis Foundation to help them begin their own journey of service to the children of our community.
Signature Fundraisers
Richard Combs Memorial Golf Tournament This annual golf tournament is a major fundraiser that supports our scholarship program for students in Gadsden County. A key scholarship from these funds is awarded to a deserving Key Club member at Maclay High School each year.
Adult Spelling Bee Our signature project and fundraiser, the Adult Spelling Bee brings together teams from local businesses and organizations for a fun-filled competition to raise money for our service projects.
Hands-On Service Projects
Ramp Builds: We build wheelchair ramps to provide home accessibility for neighbors in need.
Diaper Drives: Our club collects and donates diapers to support the health and well-being of infants and toddlers in local families.
Salvation Army Collection Kettles: During the holiday season, you will find our members ringing the bell for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign to support those in need.
Adopt-A-Highway: Our members help keep Tallahassee beautiful by regularly cleaning our designated stretch of local highway
Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed builds: our club works with this national organization to build bunk beds for children in the area who have no beds
